Spring into Action

Yes it’s Spring once again and time to spend more time outside with friends and family. Go camping or just sit arount the firepit in the evening. So let’s ice down the cold drinks and fire up those pits.

On the menu this weekend…

Grilled Steaks, Shrimp and Chicken along with bacon wrap’d jalapenos, baked potatoes, grilled veggies, tossed salad and garlic bread.

Do all of your prep ahead of time so your not spending all your time inside prepping… First off, season up your steaks, shrimp and chicken the day before you want to grill them. Wash potatoes, sprinkle with sea salt, pierce with a fork and wrap in foil. (NOTE: Potatoes will cook in a Crockpot on LOW for 8 hrs, overnight) Slice and chop up all the veggies you’re going to grill and store them in baggies. Combine all the dry veggies for salad, keeping tomatoes, and any other wet veggies separate until salad is ready to serve and store them in the fridge. Wash, split and seed the jalapenos stuff with cream cheese and wrap each jalapeno with a half strip of bacon, cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge. The last thing, blend softened butter with minced garlic and spread on a split loaf of french bread then wrap in foil.

Campfire Friends

Once you get to the campground roast them wieners over the open fire the first night. Spend quality time with friends and family laughing and sharing great stories. You know your all set for dinner the next day. You got this!
