Beef Stew Pot Pie

Prepared in the Ninja Foodi

2 TBSP olive oil

1 onion, diced

1 cup celery, diced

2 cups carrots, diced

2 tsp minced garlic

1 1/2 Lb stew meat or cubed sirloin

1 tsp thyme

2 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

2 lg potatoes, 1/2 in cubed

1 cup beef stock

2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce

2 TBSP milk

2 TBSP cornstarch

1/2 cup frozen peas

1 pie crust


Allow SEAR/SAUTE setting to warm up, after 3 minutes add oil, onions, celery, carrots and garlic. Saute for 5 minutes, or until softened.

Add meat and sear on all sides

Add seasonings, potatoes, stock and Worcestershire sauce. Close the Pressure lid and pressure for 20 minutes.

When pressure is done let stand and slow release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes carefully remove lid.

In a separate bowl whisk together Milk and cornstarch, slowly add to the stew, this will allow the stew to thicken.

Lay pie crust over the top of the stew, tucking the edges underneath. Close the Crisping Lid and select AIR CRISP, set temp to 400* and set timer to 7 minutes.
