Thirsty Thursday

Today I thought we would do something a little different. If y’all like it I will make every Thursday a “Thirsty Thursday”. We can have a different drink every week instead of our regular food recipes we have all the other days. I think it will be fun! The drinks can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic OR frozen or not frozen.
Now that it’s getting to be summer, Today’s Drink is one of my favorites.
“The Best Strawberry Lemonade”
Ingredients
6 large lemons
½ cup of strawberry puree
4 large strawberries, cut up
1¼ cups cane sugar
2-3 cups hot filtered water
2 cups ice
Directions
Start by adding about one cup of strawberries to your blender and puree for a few seconds and set aside. I use a Ninja Blender because it really pulverizes just like the restaurants and it gets it very smooth.
Next, add about 2 inches of hot water to the bottom of the pitcher. Then add in your sugar and mix until dissolved.
Cut and squeeze 5 of your lemons into the pitcher.
Add in your strawberry puree and mix until combined.
Then add in 2 cups of ice and stir a little more.
After it’s mixed well and tastes to your liking, add in one cut up lemons and 4 cut up strawberries. Vu-Wa-la The best homemade strawberry lemonade ever.
I just love my Ninja blender… I also have the Ninja Master prep for my small chopping jobs.

**NOTE** You can NOT use a Ninja food processor to make cole slaw. I tried to and I guess I over chopped the cabbage and I made cole slaw soup… We’re still laughing about it today. Oh well, trial and error. LoL
